Swedish Bitters:

Crafted in the heart of Kent by Granary Herbs since 1991, Small Swedish Bitters is a time-honoured herbal tonic made using a traditional blend of carefully selected botanicals. Inspired by a classic European recipe and prepared with the same commitment to quality that has defined Granary Herbs for over three decades, this handcrafted formula combines aromatic herbs, roots and spices to create a rich, distinctive bitter taste. Trusted by herbal practitioners and valued by generations of customers, Small Swedish Bitters offers an authentic herbal experience that reflects the skill, heritage and attention to detail at the heart of every Granary Herbs product.

This powerful combination of herbs was originally put together by Swedish physician, Dr Samst who was said to have lived to 104 years of age. The Senna contained in the tonic is well known for bowel cleansing properties. Traditionally used to help digestion, Swedish Bitters are a popular choice amongst medical herbalists when promoting regularity, maintaining health and energy levels.

This formula became well-known following the publications of Maria Treben, a well-known Austrian Herbalist.
